HELM AG to market Propylene from KUWAIT PETROLEUM ITALIA SpA
Rome, Italia and Hamburg, Germany –
On February 13th, 2006, Kuwait Petroleum Italia SpA and HELM AG signed an agreement for the sales and marketing of 70,000 tons per year of Propylene. Propylene is a by-product from gasoline production and is used to produce a wide range of petrochemical derivatives and polymers.
Kuwait Petroleum Italia SpA, a subsidiary of Kuwait Petroleum International, has a 50 % participation in an oil refinery in Milazzo, Italia. Core businesses of the Kuwait Petroleum Italia SpA are the production and sales of fuels through its own network of petrol stations in Italy and to other customers.
After some years of cooperation, it has been decided to entrust the complete marketing and sales of Propylene to
HELM AG.
